Our client, a leading player in the UK gas industry, is seeking a talented EC&I Design Engineer with an electrical bias to join their growing engineering team.

What You'll Do
* Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs across LV, ELV, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IEC 60079)
* Interpret and develop detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation
* Carry out design calculations using tools such as AMTECH and Dialux
* Occasionally attend local sites for surveys and kick-off meetings
* Mentor junior EC&I engineers (for senior candidates)
* Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to HAZOPs and design reviews
What Our Client Is Looking For
* At least 3 years' experience in electrical or EC&I design
* Experience with hazardous area design (COMPEX 8-12 preferred)
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software
* Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
* Knowledge of G17/G35 and IEC 60079 standards
* Gas sector experience
* Commissioning or inspection background
* Professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it
