Finance Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: £60 - 70k
This role sits at the centre of finance. You'll balance strong technical discipline with commercial awareness, ensuring the numbers are right while helping leadership understand what they mean.
The Role
You'll take ownership of core financial reporting and controls, while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
* Produce management accounts with clear, concise commentary.
* Maintain strong balance sheet control and oversight of reconciliations.
* Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
* Support budgeting and reforecast cycles.
* Provide financial insight to senior stakeholders to support commercial decisions.
* Strengthen financial controls and improve existing processes.
* Support audit requirements and external reporting where required.
* Contribute to capital planning and risk management discussions.
This is a visible role with exposure to executive leadership and involvement in ongoing growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
* Strong grounding in financial reporting and controls.
* Experience operating in a growing or evolving business environment.
* Confident presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
* Commercially aware with the ability to challenge constructively.
