The Diabetes Remission Programme is the latest initiative to be approved. This ambitious project offers an exciting opportunity for passionate, motivated, and value-driven individuals. The Project Manager – Innovation Delivery (Diabetes Remission) will be a key member of the programme team, leading, managing, developing, and implementing a national diabetes remission service, aiming to improve type 2 remission rates across Scotland.
The post holder will work closely with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, including national and territorial boards. Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate a clear vision for change on a Once for Scotland basis are essential.
The successful candidate should have proven practical experience in project implementation and delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to secure clinical and operational engagement and to drive person-centred improvements in care. A deep understanding of project management and improvement methodologies, with recognized expertise in their practical application, is required. The ability to work within a political environment, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
