Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Planner to join the client's planning team on a flagship industrial project. The role is focused on ensuring the successful and timely delivery of the project through robust planning, scheduling, and project controls.
You will manage and develop the site schedule in Primavera P6, integrate contractor programmes, and provide clear, data-driven insights to project leadership. The position requires presence on site three days per week to closely coordinate with construction and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update the integrated Primavera P6 schedule regularly, ensuring it reflects the latest site realities.
Integrate contractor and supplier schedules into the master programme and monitor key interfaces and dependencies.
Set, monitor, and report on schedule performance, including analysis of critical paths, float, and key milestones.
Review contractor planning documentation and progress reports; challenge assumptions where necessary and ensure alignment with the master plan.
Work closely with the site team daily to gather progress data, understand issues, blockers, risks, and constraints, and reflect these in the schedule.
Prepare clear and insightful weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards (Excel and PowerPoint) to support management decision-making.
Attend and present in daily and weekly coordination meetings with the site team, project management, and stakeholders, explaining status, variances, and recovery options.
Develop, maintain, and track action lists and lookahead plans with the project team, ensuring owners and due dates are clearly defined and followed up.
Help establish and maintain a "single source of truth" for programme information, ensuring consistency across planning tools, reports, and stakeholder communications.
Support risk identification and mitigation by highlighting schedule threats and opportunities, and contributing to risk workshops and mitigation planning.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning, with demonstrable experience as a Site Planner on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
Experience in high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data centre, semiconductor, or similarly complex, fast-track environments is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of planning principles, construction methodologies, and project controls best practice.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong Excel skills (formulas, lookups, basic data analysis/visualisation).
Confident in preparing and delivering presentations (PowerPoint) to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative working style and ability to influence without direct authority.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability applied to project scheduling, interface management, and risk mitigation.
Experience facilitating or contributing to risk workshops, schedule review sessions, and progress/performance review meetings.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.
