What Youll do As a customer service Operative (Controller) - you will be working within a close-knit team based out of our Cardiff head office dealing with day-to-day bookings and enquiries from our customers. Using state of the art booking systems you will take customer bookings, Allocate and dispatch jobs to drivers, Provide ETAs, monitor drivers locations providing in the moment updates and managing them through to completion. Responding promptly and courteously to incoming calls capturing accurate information in a timely manner. Be confident in speaking to approved suppliers and communicate well at all levels from senior management to Directors level. Ability to form long lasting relationships with customers with a good geographical knowledge of the UK. On the spot problem solving, resolving issues and queries related to bookings. Delivering excellent service whilst meeting and exceeding company targets to drive customer satisfaction. Plan, organize and distribute routes on a daily basis to support the efficiency and delivery of timed critical items. Provide out-of-hours, on-call support on a Rotational basis for which there is additional weekly income incentive to boost your income. Ensure all instructions and job information are recorded accurately with a high level of attention to detail. Who are we looking for: The ideal candidate will have experience within the logistics industry, preferably within the Same Day market however not essential as full training will be given, you will have vast customer service experience, have a keen eye for attention to detail, punctuality, have the ability to multi task and cope well under pressure.
