Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic nurse to join the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist team within the Melanoma Skin Cancer pathway. The post holder will provide high quality, safe and effective care to patients from diagnosis throughout the cancer pathway, acting as a keyworker across surgical and medical oncology treatment paradigms.
Main Duties
* Provide specialist supportive care to patients with melanoma cancer
* Represent the Trust and lead cancer nursing at all meetings related to cancer service framework
* Ensure highest standard of care and support from diagnosis to treatment

Person Specification
* Essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously
* 2 years band 6/7 experience in oncology, plastics, melanoma / skin cancer
* Teaching experience and leadership experience
* Current NMC registration, First Level Degree, Oncology module or relevant qualification
* Knowledge of current clinical and nursing research related to melanoma / skin cancer
* Desirable
* Nurse‑led clinic experience, service improvement experience, previous CNS role
* Masters degree, V300 Independent Prescriber, Physical Assessment Module, Psychology Level 2 training, Advance Communication course
* Research course or experience, published work (articles/posters/conference presentation)
