ALN / SEMH Learning Support Assistant - KS2 Pupils in Newport

Do you want to make a real difference for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Aspire People are recruiting ALN / SEMH Learning Support Assistants to work with KS2 pupils (Years 3-6) in Newport. You will support children in the classroom, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive academically and socially.

Your Role Will Include
* Supporting pupils with ALN or SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Assisting class teachers to deliver lessons and activities
* Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
* Helping manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Contributing to a nurturing and inclusive school environment

Requirements
* Experience supporting KS2 pupils
* Experience working with ALN or SEMH pupils preferred
* Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to behaviour management
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to adapt to the needs of different pupils and classroom settings
