About Our Nursery
North Shields Rake Lane is an Ofsted rated Good nursery. Located in Cleadon, just north of Sunderland, the 132-place facility features 5 base rooms and a private garden. The setting is complemented by NHS accredited menus and a dedicated dining area. Ofsted rated us Outstanding in our last visit. Complimentary onsite parking is provided.

Key Responsibilities And Expectations As An Apprentice
* Involvement in planning stimulating activities for children in line with the EYFS
* Assist in delivering high-quality childcare with a professional and positive approach for children and staff
* Build effective relationships with children, parents and team members
* Ensure each child’s individual needs are met
* Contribute to safeguarding of all children
* Work towards the apprenticeship standards with Busy Bees Education and Training, with completion within the agreed timeframe
* Be enthusiastic and proactive in developing own skills
* Demonstrate commitment to continued professional development
* Communicate progress and activities with the line Manager
As an Apprentice, you will be supported by qualified staff and attend Learning & Development courses. A Development Coach will visit regularly to assess progress and guide you through the apprenticeship.
To apply you must be working or caring for children (voluntary or paid). A Level 2 in Early Years, Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or Functional Skills Level 2 is desirable.
