Aviation - Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields. Enabling overall day-to-day supervision of projects, assisting the Project Management Team in ensuring they are delivered safely on time and within budget. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge in all areas of Ground Works, including drainage, pavements (concrete and asphalt), highway construction, foundations, footings, earthworks cut/fill, substructures, and working around underground services in addition to other areas. Ensuring excellent safety, standards and quality are maintained throughout the life cycle of the project. Being client focused, showing excellent understanding of the scope of works and managing expectations. Maintaining excellent communication between all departments of the internal team and wider business units. This role is a night-time working position but, due to the nature of our airside operations, will have a requirement for some day shifts. What You’ll Bring Site experience. Knowledge of the requirements of Health and Safety and Environmental Standards. Proven capability in delivering technical packages on civil engineering schemes. Good working knowledge of all types of groundwork A desire to progress career by gaining a professional qualification with ICE. Demonstrate MGroup’s values and behaviours. Good Site setting out skills Contribute to the enhancement of the quality of delivery solutions by identifying and introducing improvement opportunities. Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison. Excellent data management and Quality Control. Keep up to date with legislations and current industry standards. SMSTS or equivalent Site Management Training Holder of CSCS accreditation Black/Gold preferred Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement. Full UK driving license 5yr Traceable employment Desirable: Level 3 QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying Previous experience in a General Foreman role Experience working within the engineering and aviation sector Plant knowledge (current CPCS excavator qualification) Confined space Cat and Genny training and experience.
