Last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.As our Senior Risk Officer you\\\'ll be working with the Head of Risk to support the development, delivery and embedding of the Risk Strategy, Risk Management Framework and annual risk management plan. You\\\'ll act as a technical lead/referral point for all risk management queries, assisting the business to adopt, understand, embed and meet the Risk Management Framework requirements and associated standards and processes. Key OutputsSupport regular review and development of MIB\\\'s Risk Management Framework, associated standards and processesSupport implementation of, and oversee, risk management practises and processes across the organisation to ensure the business effectively identifies and manages its risks and controlsManage and oversee the Risk Event reporting process across the organisationDesign and produce regular and effective risk reporting for all levels of the organisationSupport the business in developing and maintaining Risk Registers, providing risk oversight and challengeConduct annual ISO27001 control audit activity to support the MIB to maintain the Information Security accreditationMaintain the MIB Enterprise Risk Registers to support the top risk assessmentComplete periodic sample checks of business area risk management activity outputs providing feedback as well as reporting on results and associated actionsSupport implementation and maintenance of risk management systems, procedures and toolsChampion a robust risk culture throughout the organisation to promote transparency and accountability for the management of risk. Seek continuous improvement opportunities for all aspects of the MIB Risk Management Framework - its development, awareness, adoption and adherenceChair risk meetings as required to discuss and promote risk management practises within all core MIB functionsProvide clear, pragmatic and proportionate guidance on the interpretation and application of risk management requirements and development Proactively identify and report emerging risks with recommendations to mitigate theseRelationshipsQualifications and EducationSkills and KnowledgeStrong risk management experienceExperience of working in a regulated environmentExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsAbility to influence decisions across all levels of the organisation including senior leaders and ExecutiveThe ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions and provide clear guidanceRelevant risk management qualification.
