We currently have three apprentices excelling both at college and in the workplace, demonstrating our commitment to our Apprenticeship Programme. Opportunities for progression within our engineering department include roles such as team leader and supervisor. Apprentices can expect to earn between £40,000 and £42,000 within two years of completing their apprenticeship.
About the Role
Our Heavy Plant Mechanics provide maintenance support for equipment such as screeners, shredders, waste processing machinery, and plant equipment within a workshop environment. At CRJ, you will learn about:

Applicants without Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in English and maths will need to achieve this prior to the End Point Assessment. The qualification at the end of the apprenticeship is an advanced Level 3 qualification, providing a solid foundation of technical knowledge and practical experience. The program combines on-the-job training with college-based lessons at Reaseheath College, Nantwich, over three years, with nine weeks of college per year in three 3-week blocks.
