As our Depot General Manager (DGM), you'll be at the heart of our operation—bringing together people, performance, and great customer experience. In the role as a Depot General Manager you'll lead your depot and ensure it delivers on its operational plan. That means taking ownership of performance, people, service, cost, and quality—while working closely with teams across the business, from Finance and HR to Hubs, Trunking, and Commercial. You'll also have full P&L accountability, so driving outstanding performance will be key. This is a great time to be joining us! Take a look at the below to understand what you'll be doing in your role as a?Depot General Manager at Evri! Setting the depot up for success by creating budgets and forecasts with your Area Manager. Delivering smooth operations, including strong BAU and peak planning to meet inbound and outbound volume demands. Controlling costs through smart resource planning, productivity management, and cost-per-unit (CPU) optimisation. Owning service performance, acting as the key contact for any escalations and ensuring we deliver brilliant service to clients, customers, and partners. Promoting quality and compliance across scanning processes, HHT usage, and all inbound/outbound activity. Keeping the depot safe and compliant, leading on H&S, risk assessments, audits, and site security. Managing Transport compliance, including O Licence standards, WTD and AWR requirements. Leading and developing your team, from recruitment and onboarding to performance, engagement, and recognition. Skills & Qualifications Full UK Driving Licence CPC National Certificate IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) Confident with Microsoft and MI tools Great communication—written and verb Strong data analysis skills Key role details Reporting to: Area Manager Direct reports: 6–12 managers and 55–100 colleagues (depending on depot size) Key stakeholders: Operational Planning, Transport Compliance, H&S, HR/ER, Client Solutions, Hub Ops, Delivery, Finance If you're a driven leader who loves making operations run smoothly and enjoys working with great people, this could be your perfect next step.
