Job Details
We are recruiting for a new Service Support Officer to provide administrative support and coordination to our Service Support Team, and the wider Facilities Management Service. This newly created role will deliver support across the varied needs of the operation, including assisting the recruitment and induction process and supporting our training & development programme.
Service Support Officer:
1. 36 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 52-week contract, with the opportunity for hybrid working
About the Role
Key tasks include:
2. Completing of reports
3. Collating/providing management/statistical information
4. Processing documents,. mail items, orders, invoice
5. Word processing including creating, formatting and updating documents,. minutes, reports, correspondence, newsletters
6. Managing and coordinating meeting and appointment schedules
7. Assisting at events
8. Supporting operational staff in the use of systems, offering advice and support as required
9. Supporting the Service recruitment process, including creating and posting job adverts, arranging interviews and supporting planned induction
10. Assisting the Training & Development Co-ordinator and Business Improvement Co-ordinator to coordinate workflow and monitor quality of work, ensuring required standards and deadlines are met and assisting with the roll out of developments as needed.
The Person
Essential:
11. Office experience using current computer applications
12. National 4, SVQ2, or 3 Standard Grades or equivalent
13. Strong organisational, prioritisation and minute‑taking skills
14. IT skills, including MS Office
15. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision
16. Flexible approach to work
Desirable:
17. Customer Service Professional Qualification
18. Report writing skills
19. Experience of supporting others to learn new systems
20. Ability to collate, analyse and interpret management information
You will earn a competitive salary of £25,885.80 - £28,175.91 and have access to a range of benefits, including:
21. £13.79 per hour to start
22. 3.5% salary increase from April 2026
