Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of botanical extracts for various industries, with over a century of experience and reputation. The company specialises in producing active pharmaceutical ingredients, and botanical extracts for food, beverages, healthcare, and personal care products. With the highest of GMP-compliance approval by the UK's regulatory authority, recent significant R&D/ manufacturing investment the business is now ready to step change performance and needs a business Transformation and Process expert at the top table.
You’re a heavyweight, evidently experienced Supply Chain/ Operations, possibly a Finance Director, perhaps now a Managing Director. You have led manufacturing organisations, large and SME, and you know the routine to building high performing teams. Right now, your career is simply not enough to fuel your ambition nor personal reward. You are ready to positively disrupt an industry and make a serious name for yourself.
Your knowledge and skill in Transformation, Process management (GMP) and your experience developing strategy to bring multifunctional teams with you is without question. You are passionate about high standards of performance, enabling people to be the best they can be at work. You have an innate skill knowing how to mobilise the factory to meet customer demand.
You will have a lead role on the Board of Directors, with a strong voice. Your priority will be to rekindle the science of making ingredients to satisfy the market high demand in a timely fashion (OTIF), all this in a pharma type regulatory environment that requires high compliance. With teams around you that range from factory and finance, marketing to customer, your direction will bring rigour and discipline amplifying drivers that make the numbers jump off the P&L. Above all, your desire is to make a significant impact on the organisation’s ambition for high performance and growth that is sustainable for long term profitability.
To qualify, you will have an undisputed track record in transforming standards of performance and improving process, preferably within food, beverage or OTC pharmaceutical ingredient product sectors. Strong intellectual curiosity is very much desired. You’ll be a visionary for the future success of the business.
