HR Assistant – Peterlee – Long-Term Contract
£24.96 FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35) or £18.25 paye

We are currently recruiting for an HR Assistant to join a busy HR team supporting a large manufacturing operation in Peterlee.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration, business support, or office administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing HR support to managers, employees, and the wider HR team
* Supporting employee onboarding activities
* Assisting with absence management administration and record keeping
* Coordinating meetings, calendars, and employee appointments
* Maintaining HR records and preparing reports
* Supporting employees with HR system queries and access issues
* Assisting with policy and procedure‑related enquiries
* General HR and administrative support duties
Requirements
* Previous administration or HR administration experience
* Strong organisational and workload management skills
* Good Microsoft Office skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to manage tasks independently and use initiative
Desirable
* Experience with HR systems such as Workday
* Experience within manufacturing or large corporate environments
Location: Peterlee (fully onsite)
Contract: 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-12:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
