What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?
* Accounting for and managing Technicians' time when working on jobs.
* Ensuring Job Card write-up compliance with OEM Warranty Procedures.
* Managing and improving workshop productivity and efficiency by allocating the correct jobs to appropriately skilled technicians.
* Identifying Technician training needs.
What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?
* Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry.
* Excellent understanding of systems and processes in this environment.
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
* Confidence in dealing with people at all levels and building rapport quickly.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to lead by example and deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
