Job Description: Class 2 HGV Driver (Tankers/Packaged Goods)
Location: In between Hinkley and Leicester
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent for right candidate - guaranteed 6 month
The Role:
We are a leading national supplier seeking a professional, safety-conscious, and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of dangerous goods to a variety of customer sites, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a Class 2 (rigid) HGV vehicle, adhering to all road traffic laws and company procedures.
* Perform deliveries of dangerous goods in tanks and packaged goods to domestic and commercial customers.
* Complete all necessary delivery and vehicle paperwork accurately and on time.
* Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks (defect reporting) and maintain excellent vehicle standards.
* Load and unload products safely, using appropriate manual handling techniques.
* Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
* Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly those relating to the transport of dangerous goods (ADR).
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following mandatory criteria:
* Licences & Certifications:
* Valid UK Cat C (Class 2) HGV driving licence.
* Valid Driver CPC card.
* A valid ADR certificate for Tanks and Packaged Goods. Candidates can be newly ADR qualified, but they must have their physical ADR card in hand to be able to start work.
* Background & Vetting:
* A stable and checkable 5-year address history.
* A verifiable 3-year employment history.
* Successful completion of pre-employment vetting, including:
* A criminal record self-declaration (unspent convictions only).
* A Basic Disclosure check (processed and paid for by the company. A 6-week grace period from your start date will be granted for this certificate to be returned).
* A financial probity check.
* Full agreement to and compliance with the company's Drug & Alcohol Policy and Mobile Phone Policy.
Desirable Skills & Qualities:
* Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
* Experience in the delivery of fuels, gases, or other dangerous goods.
* A strong focus on safety and customer service.
* Excellent geographical knowledge of the local region.
* Physically fit for manual handling tasks.

Pay: £16.60-£33.30 per hour
