The Role Preparing equipment and chemicals for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Assisting teaching staff with the delivery of demonstrations and required practicals Maintaining, calibrating, and repairing laboratory equipment Managing stock levels, including the safe storage and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH Ensuring all laboratories and prep rooms comply with health & safety regulations (CLEAPSS) Supporting students during practical sessions where required Assisting with the organisation of STEM clubs and school science events The Ideal Candidate Will Have A background in Science (A-Level or Degree level) or previous experience as a Science Technician A strong understanding of health & safety protocols within a laboratory setting Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines A proactive and "hands-on" approach to problem-solving The ability to work collaboratively as part of a technical and teaching team Good ICT skills for stock management and record-keeping School Information This secondary school in Leeds is known for its excellent facilities, supportive staff culture, and commitment to STEM education.
