About The Role
Location: On site at Eyemouth with some travel required to other offshore wind assets and within the UK and Ireland.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team. In this role you will provide Electrical Operation and Maintenance Engineering, support Asset Operations teams and deliver in‑field engineering services for high‑ and low‑voltage equipment.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest level of standards to comply with HSEQ requirements.
* Provide in‑field electrical engineering expertise and support across the full portfolio of offshore assets.
* Support Asset Operation teams with planned preventative maintenance works and emergent/fault conditions at the EBoP and associated generation plant.
* Review/ create work scopes, instructions, and quality plans.
* Challenge current thinking and processes to seek alternative methods of working.
* Drive continuous improvement, review/set standards and develop cases for asset improvement and performance gains.
* Identify robust and innovative solutions, ensure advances in technology are utilised, upgrade existing assets and future‑proof others.
* Manage technical queries raised by team members, contractors and suppliers.
* Manage the asset change management process and ensure modifications, retrofits and repairs are documented accordingly.
* Review, update, amend and approve site documentation against existing single line diagrams, electrical drawings and test data.
* Identify and categorise risks, add them to the risk register with the correct RAG status.
* Scope output requirements for external technical specialists, e.g. root cause analysis, and ensure asset integrity is at the forefront.
* Identify target areas relating to operational asset performance for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with EDF Power Solutions asset management policy and contribute to its development and review.
* Train to become a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under the EDF Power Solutions E&M Safety Rules.
Qualifications
* Proven leader with successful delivery of projects and programs.
* Experience securing and maintaining a safe working environment.
* Defect management and prioritisation skills.
* Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
* Responsible and accountable in supporting Asset Operations and the wider team.
* Experience installing, operating, maintaining and testing HV switchgear, transformers, XLPE cables, joints and terminations.
* Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
* NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) certification.
* Experience in the power generation sector, including renewable technologies; offshore experience desirable.
* Physically fit to climb, comfortable working at height and offshore when required.
* Strong relationship‑building skills with external partners, stakeholders and internal reporting lines.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
