Do you have the empathy and commitment to help people make real, life-changing breakthroughs? At GamCare, you’ll be there when someone takes their first step towards recovery, supporting people and families affected by gambling harms to rebuild their lives with hope and confidence.
As a Gambling Support Practitioner, you will play a key role in helping people affected by gambling harms to make positive changes. You'll provide one-to-one and group support, both in person and online, giving people the tools and encouragement they need to regain control, repair relationships, and move forward. You will create tailored recovery plans using proven approaches to build confidence and resilience. Alongside your client work, you will also have the opportunity to help raise awareness of our services by attending community events, building partnerships, and ensuring more people know where to turn for help.
About you
Your background in supporting people through mental health, addictions, or social care has given you the skills to build trust quickly, listen with empathy, and adapt to each person’s needs. Compassionate and resilient, you are confident in handling sensitive situations and safeguarding responsibilities, always keeping recovery at the heart of your work.
