Pump Engineer
£40,000 to £50,000 + Overtime
Location: Covering the Cambridge & surrounding areas
Employment: Full-time | Permanent | Monday - Friday - 45 hours per week

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.
We are currently recruiting for a Pump Engineer to join their team.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Pump Maintenance & Installation teams.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus overtime, as well as training to further your career development. This role is full-time and permanent.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial pumping systems, including associated mechanical, electrical, and control components.
* Diagnose faults, conduct investigations, and implement effective corrective actions.
* Carry out installation, commissioning, and replacement of pumps, booster sets, pressurisation units, control panels, and related equipment.
* Produce accurate service reports, commissioning documentation, and job sheets.
* Liaise professionally with clients to provide updates, explain findings, and advise on recommended actions.
* Maintain company tools, equipment, and stock levels, including monthly inventory checks.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures and industry best
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience working with pumping systems, including installation, service, and fault diagnosis.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles (electrically competent).
* Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
* Conduct dynamic risk assessments.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities with a methodical and proactive approach to work.
* Strong communication and customer-service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
* Full UK driving licence.
