Job Overview
Recruiting a Skilled Water and Environment Senior Project Manager to operate within the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line, part of the P3M CM UK, Ireland and Europe team. The role is office‑based in the Midlands, 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home.
Role Responsibilities
* NEC3/4 Option A, Option C, Option E ECC contract management and administration client side
* Budget control and cost forecasting
* Collaborate with QS on payment valuations, certifying monthly payments under ECC and PSC forms of the NEC 4 contract
* Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Maintain project management and commercial records in line with contract requirements
* Investigate and draft contract communications (Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications)
* Conduct initial project scope planning, cost estimates and feasibility studies
* Prepare and evaluate tender documentation, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
* Collaborate with contractors early in the design phase
* Manage and administer construction contracts, monitor project expenditure, manage cash flow
* Lead evaluation and negotiation of change orders or variations, claims and dispute resolution
* Final accounts and post‑project evaluation
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s Degree qualification in a numeric degree
* Full Membership of a chartered body such as APM or MAPM
* Postgraduate experience in Rail, Nuclear, Water and/or Environment
* Line management and recruitment experience of Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers
* CDM regulation knowledge and experience
* Risk management experience
* Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirable
* Main contractor and/or joint venture experience working client side
* Experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts (A-C-E required)
* Right to work in the UK
