An opportunity has arisen for a Business Systems Administrator to join an exceptional organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of IT. This position will play a key role in providing administrative support across essential business systems, ensuring accuracy of data and assisting in the ongoing development of operational processes. Working closely with the IT Systems Analyst, the successful candidate will support day-to-day requirements, system enhancements, and wider business improvements.
The role will involve responsibility for the accurate setup and ongoing maintenance of all core system data, including product entries, customer records, customer pricing, price bands, and analysis codes. It will require regular collaboration with internal departments to improve workflows, drive the effective use of business systems, and support operational efficiency. The post-holder will also manage and maintain Excel templates for system uploads, ensuring timely and accurate data input into Sage 200 and related platforms.
Further responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of business documents and reports using Sage Report Designer, liaising with ERP providers and other external service partners to resolve support queries, and coordinating system maintenance and troubleshooting with third-party providers. The successful applicant will assist in IT-led improvements, promote best practices across the business, and support the communication and training needed to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
Applicants must demonstrate experience in maintaining business systems or ERPs such as Sage 200, together with strong Excel skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
In addition, it would be advantageous to have familiarity with report designers or basic SQL, an understanding of business processes, and a general interest in IT improvements and business systems.
