Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical SupervisorLocation: Royal Stoke Hospital, ST4 6QG£44,387.20Salary Bonus40 Hours Per Week / Monday to Friday / 08:00 - 16:30Site Specific Perks & BenefitsJob IntroductionAn exciting opportunity has arisen at Royal Stoke Hospital for a skilled professional to work in conjunction with the Electrical Team, supporting the day-to-day operation, management, and maintenance of electrical systems and staff across the hospital estate.The role involves supporting the Senior Management Team to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all plant, equipment, and installations, with a strong focus on governance and compliance. You will also be responsible for the effective control of contractors, including the management of permits to work on specialist and critical systems within the PFI hospitals, in line with HTM 06-02 and all relevant statutory and mandatory legislation.What You'll Do:Organise and manage engineers' daily workloads, ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and medical gas systems are maintained to a high standard in line with HTM guidance and audit requirements.Act as anAuthorised Person (AP)for medical gas systems and PSSR-regulated plant, including fault diagnosis, repair, testing, and compliance with HTM 02 series and statutory legislation.Ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of all plant, equipment, and utilities across the PFI hospital estate.Deliver cost-effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and manage reactive maintenance services, including participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.Control contractors, permits to work, and safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with the Project Agreement and Health & Safety legislation.Support Engineering Management in meeting contractual response and rectification times, performance monitoring, and avoidance of service failures or penalties.Provide technical leadership, hands-on support, training, and guidance to engineering staff, fostering a strong team-based approach.Use CAFM, BMS, and other IT systems to monitor performance, manage assets, and produce quality assurance and management reports.Communicate effectively with Trust managers, clinical and non-clinical staff, and represent Hard FM in relevant compliance and safety working groups.Investigate compliance failures, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the commercial and operational management of the maintenance contract.What You Bring:Fully competent inBS 7671 (18th Edition)regulations;2391 Test & Inspectionqualification desirable.Qualified in electrical engineering (C&G/BTEC or equivalent), with a recognised apprenticeship or time-served experience.Extensive hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and interpreting technical drawings.Proven ability to diagnose and repair plant and equipment, includingUPS and generator backup systems.Strong knowledge ofHealth & Safety at Workregulations, with the ability to produce clear technical reports.Confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Computer literate, ideally with experience ofBMS or similar systems, and strong verbal, written, and numerical skills.Positive, proactive team player with excellent time management, able to work independently and willing to undertake further training.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.You'll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you'll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you'll be able to thrive in your own way.In addition, we also offer a range of resources, rewards and benefits for our colleagues and their families:Unlimited access to an online platform offering mental health and wellbeing support.Employee Assistance Programme to help with everyday issues or larger problems where you may need additional support, including legal and financial advice, support with work related issues or personal issues such as bereavement.Access to a free health and wellbeing app that provides rewards for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and includes access to a 24hr virtual GP and various other services.The Sodexo Discounts Scheme, offering great deals 24/7 (also open to friends and family) and/or the prepayment cashback card.Money Insights and financial benefits via the Salary Finance Platform.Save for your future by becoming a member of the Sodexo Retirement PlanA Death-in-Service benefit for colleagues who pass away whilst employed by SodexoOpportunities to enable colleagues to grow and succeed throughout their career at Sodexo, including a variety of learning and development tools.Cycle to Work Scheme to help colleagues to do their bit for the environment whilst keeping fit.Volunteering Opportunities to enable all colleagues to help support worthwhile causes in our communities.Flexible and dynamic work environmentCompetitive compensationFull training and full protective uniform supplied.Ready to be part of something greater?
