Job Title: Software Engineer Intern

Job Summary:
As a Software Engineer Intern at Honeywell, in our Satellite Communication team based from our Tewkesbury site, you will be responsible for supporting and developing cutting edge software solutions for satellite connectivity.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office & 2 days work from home model, but you will start the role fulltime in the office, for us to support your learning, and be expected to work from the office during training and for certain projects.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for 12 months, with an ideal start date of 20/07/26, and will be for a candidate requiring a month internship as part of their degree, with a potential opportunity for a permanent role after graduation.

Key responsibilities
You will work closely with experienced professionals, and be assigned a buddy, to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:
* Develop embedded and application software in line with standards and agreed designs
* Execute software and system tests in line with procedures
* Support the maintenance of build and other software/electronic systems
* Produce status reports, presentations and technical reports/documents as required
* Support the team as required to achieve company objectives
Key skills and qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Software, Computer Science, or a related field, (not aerospace engineering), that requires a yearlong industry placement in 2026
* Practical experience in software development, within: C and/or C++
* Experience in Linux and/or embedded software development
* Business level communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
* Can commute with ease to our Tewkesbury office
