Inventory Controller / Materials Planner
Location: Uttoxeter, Staffordshire
Pay Rate: GBP18.46 per hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm; Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract Type: Ongoing long term with reviews every 3 months
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller / Materials Planner to join a global, blue chip organisation based in Uttoxeter. This is a great opportunity to step into a well structured, fast paced environment where accuracy and forward planning make all the difference.
The role
* Managing inventory levels to ensure aftermarket operations receive materials on time
* Planning, scheduling and expediting materials in line with demand
* Using lean principles to maintain accurate and efficient stock control
* Monitoring supplier performance and helping drive improvements
* Tracking KPIs and supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain
* Working with suppliers to expedite critical parts and maintain production flow
The ideal Inventory Controller
* Previous experience in materials planning or inventory control
* Confident communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
* Highly organised, calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
* Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
