Job Purpose:
To manage all boning hall production planning for beef and lamb, translating customer orders into production requirements to ensure timely fulfillment. The role involves building strong interdepartmental relationships to achieve production objectives, managing yield and costing information flow, and supporting the team in meeting targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* No experience needed; all training will be provided.
* Maintain accurate records of input vs output ratios, including weights and yields at different processing stages.
* Generate daily production plans.
* Coordinate with production teams to communicate plans and schedule changes effectively.
* Oversee daily production to ensure delivery aligns with plans.
* Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams for real-time tracking and compliance.
* Monitor and compare planned vs actual outputs to support operational decisions.
* Track carcass yields and trim losses to identify process improvements.
* Maintain accurate and accessible data and records.
* Support the Boning Hall Manager as required.
* Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Academic qualification – Nat5 in Maths and English.
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Proficient in Word and Excel.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, especially in reporting and collaboration.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
* Able to work in a chilled environment.
* Ability to multitask and work proactively to meet deadlines.
* Professional approach and strong work ethic.
