The Backup and Storage Infrastructure administrator will oversee the daily operation and management of the University's backup and storage solutions. Responsibilities include managing SAN storage, virtualized environments, and various enterprise technologies. The role ensures secure, efficient, and reliable data center services, and involves supporting Linux OS, F5 Big-IP load balancing, Cisco UCS, and VMware vSphere 8 systems.
You will also contribute to infrastructure projects supporting the University's IT strategies, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies, monitor performance, and align systems with business needs. The role requires maintaining accurate technical documentation, system configurations, and compliance reports. Ensuring security standards and system updates in line with ITIL best practices is essential.
This position demands a team player capable of handling tickets efficiently within SLA, multitasking, and managing priorities effectively in a large Higher Education environment.
