What You'll Do:
* Comply with all company and statutory regulations relating to health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH, including awareness of workplace hazards.
* Assist in the preparation, production, presentation, and service of all meals, ensuring they are served at the correct times, within company standards, and to contract specifications.
* Ensure control of raw materials and portions meet standards, and food is served at the correct temperature.
* Assist the head chef in planning menus and orders.
* Receive and check goods against invoices for quality, storing them correctly following the 'first in, first out' rule, and complying with health and safety regulations.
* Assist in meal service as required.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in food prep and service areas.
* Keep work areas clean and tidy, assisting with routine cleaning schedules.
* Ensure high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and performance.
* Communicate effectively, providing pleasant, polite, and friendly service to customers and clients.
* Participate in training and team meetings to meet company and client standards.
* Work as part of a team to promote harmonious working relationships.
* Assist at ad-hoc functions, some outside regular hours.
* Report incidents of accidents, fire, theft, damage, or irregularities promptly and take appropriate action.
* Comply with Sodexo policies and client site rules.
Qualifications and Skills:
* 1-2 years of Chef de Partie experience; Commis Chefs seeking a new challenge will be considered.
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Previous catering experience with a passion for food and team engagement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Desire for self-development and career growth.
* Smart appearance and high personal hygiene standards.

Salary & Hours:
£15-£16 per hour, 40 hours/week, flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, term-time only with flexible contracted weeks discussed at interview.
