Head of Network Services
Location: Cirencester, Gloucestershire (Hybrid)
Salary & Package: Up to £75,000 per annum plus benefits including pension, holiday allowance, and wider corporate benefits.
Way of working: Full‑time, Permanent. Hybrid working model (office and remote split).

As part of this growth, the Technical Directorate is being strengthened to ensure platforms are designed for long‑term operation, resilience, and clarity. This role has been created to provide clear ownership of network strategy, standards, and service quality across all customer solutions.
The Head of Network Services Opportunity
As Head of Network Services, you will be accountable for the full lifecycle of the organisation’s network platforms, acting as the senior technical authority while leading and developing the network engineering function.
Key responsibilities
Owning the network technical strategy, roadmap, and reference architectures
Defining and enforcing network design standards, security models, and approved platforms
Ensuring all network designs are secure, resilient, observable, and ready for operational handover
Working closely with Cloud Services, Projects, and the PMO to improve delivery predictability and reduce unplanned work
Leading, mentoring, and developing network engineers to build scalable, sustainable capability
Your key skills
Proven experience leading enterprise‑scale network services or platforms
Strong technical background across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, routing, switching, and IP design
Solid expertise in network security, segmentation, and high‑availability design
Experience across on‑premise, cloud, hybrid, and OT / industrial networking environments
Ability to set and maintain engineering standards and reference architectures
Track record of improving operational stability, documentation, and service ownership
Confident people leader with experience reducing key‑person dependency
