Neway International are seeking a Placement Officer to join our client based with Bromley Council. Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS Hours: 36 per week Start Date: 20 April 2026 Duration: Initially for a 6 month contract - likely to be extended Rates: • PAYE: £19.01 per hour • Limited/Umbrella: £24.75 per hour Work Pattern: Minimum 2 days per week in the office. Additional office presence required during training. Depending on service needs and length of assignment, work may also be required from PRUH or Orpington. About the Client Bromley Council’s Adult Services directorate supports residents across the borough through safe, effective and person‑centred care pathways. The service works at pace to ensure timely hospital discharge, community support, and access to appropriate care provision. The team values accuracy, collaboration, and high‑quality service delivery. The Role The Placement Officer will manage referrals from both hospital and community settings, sourcing suitable domiciliary care agencies for Bromley residents. This is a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment requiring strong IT capability, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy team. Key Responsibilities Manage incoming referrals from hospital discharge teams and community services. Source and secure domiciliary care placements in line with assessed needs. Liaise with care providers to confirm availability, suitability, and start dates. Maintain accurate records and update internal systems promptly. Work closely with colleagues across Adult Services to support safe and timely care arrangements. Ensure all activity aligns with service standards, policies, and compliance requirements. Candidate Requirements Experience working in a fast‑paced administrative or placement‑based environment. Strong IT competence with the ability to navigate multiple systems confidently. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with internal and external partners. Understanding of adult social care, hospital discharge pathways, or domiciliary care (desirable). Flexible approach to office‑based working, including attendance at PRUH or Orpington if required.
