What You’ll Be Doing:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key and high-value client accounts
* Proactively identify, contact and qualify new business opportunities
* Engage with prospective clients to understand needs and assess fit; drive revenue through cross-selling and account expansion
* Represent the business at meetings and occasional trade events
* Work closely with operations, finance and technical
* Keep CRM records up to date and use data to guide your approach
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management (ideally within scientific, laboratory and technical industries)
* Strong understanding of the scientific/laboratory marketplace, particularly chromatography (HPLC/GC) or related analytical products is highly desirable
* Confident discussing technical or product-based solutions with customers (training on product range provided, but curiosity and willingness to learn is essential)
* Good working knowledge of key scientific brands and suppliers within the laboratory industry (or ability to quickly develop this knowledge)
* Proven track record of generating, developing, and closing new business opportunities
* Experience managing client relationships and sales pipelines
* Comfortable using CRM systems and data to drive activity
* Confident picking up the phone, meeting clients, and building long-term relationships
