Location: Lisburn / Dunmurry Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: £32,000 - £35,000.00 per annum Mission Keep our cashflow tight, our payments on track, and our financial systems watertight, so the business can scale without leaks. Were looking for someone who loves detail, hates money being left on the table, and takes pride in clean books and zero-aged debt reports. Youll make sure clients pay on time, suppliers charge correctly, and the Managing Director always knows where the moneys flowing. This role suits someone whos confident, direct, and comfortable chasing payments or having tough financial conversations when needed,always professional, but never afraid to hold firm. Key Outcomes (KPIs) 1? Debt Control & Collections Keep outstanding invoices below two months maximum. Limit all new clients to one month outstanding - otherwise, service is paused. Send a weekly aged-debt report to the MD with clear notes and next steps. Proactively follow up with clients until payments are made, using polite persistence and clear communication. Escalate issues quickly when deadlines are missed or agreements arent followed. Update purchase ledger to reflect client payments. Ensure statements are sent out weekly. 2? Supplier & Spend Control Review every supplier invoice for accuracy and match to agreed terms. Route invoices to the correct department for approval before payment. Review all licenses, software, and subscriptions monthly to ensure were only paying for whats necessary. Flag any overspending or billing discrepancies confidently and constructively. 3? Financial Systems & Controls Maintain simple internal checks to prevent errors and potential fraud. Keep all financial data accurate, secure, and well-organised. Enforce internal controls consistently, even when it means pushing back to ensure accuracy. 4? Cashflow & Budgeting Support Update the company cashflow sheet weekly and flag risks or pinch points early. Support the MD with annual budget preparation and quarterly reviews. 5? Data analysis Through data collected from our internal systems, you will help review to understand job planning costs and viability. What you'll need to succeed Proficient in accounts software packages, preferably Sage Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in a similar role within a credit function. 2-3 years' recent experience in an administrative role, preferably in a Finance /Accounts function. Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C) including Maths and English (or equivalent). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
