We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Governance and Assurance Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate governance while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our provision of an effective governance framework across the organisation and help ensure the smooth running of our governance processes. You will be involved in managing and delivering on a variety of tasks, from co-ordinating Board & Committee meetings and papers to collating necessary details to support GCH’s insurance claims responses, ensuring all details are managed quickly and efficiently. With a meticulous approach to work, you will deliver professional administrative support to the Chief Executive, including correspondence, diary management and coordinating meetings and events. You will learn about the importance of governance and compliance in our organisation, supporting the Governance Lead to manage our internal audit and risk management programmes. You’ll develop a strong understanding of how good governance helps organisations succeed. What We’re Looking For * A willingness to learning governance, compliance, and corporate administration key processes. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in written communication. * Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information. * Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Willingness to learn and take on new challenges as part of a supportive team. What You’ll Gain * A structured training programme leading to a recognised qualification in Business Administration, Governance, or a related field. * Practical experience in a professional governance environment, including hands-on experience working with senior stakeholders * Mentorship and support from experienced colleagues and governance professionals. * Opportunities to attend and observe Board and committee meetings.
