Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development
Location - London
Founded in 2007, our client is one of the fastest-growing banks of their kind in the UK. They offer personal and corporate savings products, finance for UK residential and commercial property, and sourcing and advising on UK real estate investments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
* Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance the profitability of the unit in line with the Bank’s Risk Appetite, IBFI budget projections, target markets, and the Bank's global strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Support Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
* Drive business origination by marketing new relationships to improve revenue, onboarding, and client retention.
* Prepare and deliver credit applications for review, with an emphasis on Financial Statement Analysis for Banking Clients.
* Ensure compliance with KYC/KYB requirements, including full reviews and onboarding processes.
* Collaborate with the Business Risk Review team to meet timelines for client outreaches and reviews.
* Monitor Annual Review due dates and coordinate approvals for extensions.
* Prepare limit extension requests and update system limits post-approval.
* Distribute weekly Financial Institutions Limits Report.
* Handle customer queries efficiently.
* Assist Relationship Managers with prospecting, due diligence, monitoring, and portfolio management.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience within Financial Institutions, UK Regulatory knowledge, and understanding of Credit Analysis, KYC & KYB requirements.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance.
* Experience in the African market is highly advantageous.
* French speaking skills are desirable.
* Proficiency in analyzing audited financial statements, Excel, Moody’s Analytical tools, and Flex Reports.
