Bluearrow are recruiting for our client a qualified/experienced aircraft painter a leading aerospace MRO facility in Blackwood, Gwent, who specialize in the repair and overhaul of commercial aircraft thrust reversers and nacelles, supporting the EMEA region with OEM, UKCAA, and EASA-approved repairs.
💼 Starting Salary: £28,000 per annum
➕ Plus shift allowance (£82.76/week) & overtime opportunities
🕒 Working Hours:
* Initial Training Period:
o Monday to Friday: 6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm
* Post-Training Shift Pattern:
o 2 Weeks Days: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm
o 1 Week Afternoons:
+ Monday - Thursday: 1.45pm - 9.45pm
+ Friday: 11.45am - 7.45pm
* Overtime Available:
o Once trained, overtime may be offered before/after shifts and on Saturday mornings
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
* Mix and apply sealants, fillers, primers, and top coats to aircraft parts
* Perform masking and cosmetic filling operations
* Prepare surfaces for painting with high attention to detail
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and project work
* Maintain documentation and ensure airworthiness standards
📋 Requirements:
* Previous aircraft painting experience preferred
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* High attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
* Basic arithmetic and computer literacy
* Team player with flexibility to support varying shift patterns
