A respected specialist Civil Engineering contractor is looking to appoint a skilled Senior Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to join their growing team near Henfield offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000,+ car allowance plus excellent benefits.
The HSEQ Advisor will be supporting the HSEQ Manager and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements & to facilitate the improved performance. The companies' specialities span across a variety of different sectors including water and waste water, infrastructure and coastal protection. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with legal and best practice standards while supporting operational excellence across varied civil engineering and marine infrastructure projects.

Senior HSEQ Advisor Job Overview
Act as a trusted advisor to site and project teams, offering guidance on HSEQ compliance and best practice.
Support the Group HSEQ Manager with all aspects of developing, implementing & maintaining the Quality Management System and driving H&S, Environment and Quality standards.
Undertake audits, inspections, and incident investigations, identifying risks and delivering actionable insights.
Assist in maintaining the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO standards.
Support the development and rollout of new HSEQ initiatives, tools, and training.
Attend forums and working groups to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
Foster a positive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
Senior HSEQ Advisor Job Requirements
5+ years' HSEQ experience in civil engineering or construction.
Solid knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and CDM regs.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum) and CertIOSH status.
Experience within Civil Engineering
Confident leading audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Strong communication, reporting and coaching skills.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 and digital HSEQ tools (e.g. Procore).
