Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist provision for pupils aged 11–16 with a range of SEND needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex learning profiles. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education that enables every learner to thrive.
We are seeking a charismatic, passionate and highly effective SEN Teacher of English to deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 English lessons. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of English and bring creativity, warmth and enthusiasm to the classroom.
This role is suitable for teachers from primary or secondary backgrounds who feel confident delivering English across a range of abilities.

The Role
* Deliver dynamic, differentiated English lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Plan engaging schemes of work that spark curiosity and promote a love of reading and writing
* Use assessment to inform learning, personalise progress and plan interventions
* Foster a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
* Contribute to whole-school development and share best practice
* Take responsibility for a class group as a Class Tutor
* Model high-quality behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe, motivated and valued

About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Available full-time
* Able to travel to the school’s rural location (not accessible by public transport)
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and/or KS4
* Experience working in an SEND setting, particularly ASC and SEMH (desirable)
* Creative, adaptable and committed to meeting diverse learning needs
* A charismatic practitioner who can inspire pupils to develop a genuine love for English
* A resilient, positive team player who builds strong relationships with pupils and families
* Reflective, with a growth mindset and passion for SEND education
