About the role We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who’s excited to take ownership and make an impact. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape our marketing strategy, bring it to life, and help drive the next stage of our growth while strengthening the Fortus brand. You’ll lead a broad range of marketing activity - from setting direction and managing budgets through to delivery, performance tracking and continuous improvement. Working closely with service line teams and senior stakeholders, you’ll guide and develop our marketing team and make sure everything we do is aligned to business goals and delivers real, measurable value. What you'll be doing Marketing strategy and campaign delivery: Shape and deliver integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that support Fortus’ business goals across multiple channels. Work closely with our service line teams to create targeted marketing activity that helps grow the business and strengthens how we connect with our clients. Use market research and customer insight to spot new opportunities, test ideas and continuously improve how we do things. Marketing operations and performance: Oversee the creation and delivery of marketing activity across digital content, print, events and advertising - making sure everything is high quality, consistent and on brand. Manage the marketing budget thoughtfully, prioritising spend where it delivers the most impact and value. Track performance using data and insight to understand what’s working, spot trends and continuously improve future activity. Leadership and stakeholder engagement: Steer, support and develop the Marketing Team, maintaining an environment where ideas are encouraged, collaboration comes naturally and high standards are the norm. Build strong, trusted relationships with teams across Fortus, as well as with clients, suppliers and industry partners. Act as a visible ambassador for Fortus at events, conferences and trade shows, helping to raise our profile and generate new opportunities. What you'll be doing A strong track record of building and delivering marketing strategies that work across multiple channels. Confidence working with data - able to interpret results, draw insight and use it to make smart decisions. Clear, engaging communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Comfortable using marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, analytics tools and digital marketing technology. At least 5 years’ experience in marketing, with some time spent leading or managing people. A degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is helpful (an MBA is a bonus) Experience representing a business at events or conferences. Background in B2B or professional services marketing. Naturally proactive and results-focused, comfortable juggling priorities and keeping momentum in a fast-moving environment. Adaptable, curious and committed to continuous learning - staying up to date with industry best practice and new technology. Working arrangements Location: Based in our York or Leeds office, with occasional travel to other Fortus locations across Yorkshire when needed. Agile working: We operate a hybrid approach, balancing time at home with time in the office to suit the role and team. Hours: This is a full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week), with flexibility where needed to support the business.
