About Us: Danescourt & Greenmount Surgery is a friendly, supportive practice serving patients across two sites in Cardiff. Our team of clinicians and support staff work closely to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. We also support medical students, offering opportunities for observation and learning.
Role Summary
As a Salaried GP, you will:
* Provide comprehensive care to our diverse patient population
* Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, and manage clinical correspondence
* Prescribe safely in accordance with our practice formulary
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
* Support and mentor medical students as part of their clinical experience
You will work collaboratively with the wider team and make professional, autonomous decisions in patient care.
Person Specification
* Essential:
o Fully GMC registered with licence to practise
o Inclusion on the Cardiff & Vale UHB GP Performers List
o Membership of medical indemnity cover organisation
o Inclusion on GP Register
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
o Commitment to high-quality patient care and professional development
o A Full UK Driving Licence
* Desirable:
o MRCGP qualification or equivalent
o Experience with EMIS Web or other primary care IT systems
o Interest in clinical audit, service improvement or long-term condition management
Terms & Conditions
* Hours: 4 sessions per week (Thursdays & Fridays)
* Contract: 12 month with option for permanent position thereafter
* Salary: Negotiable
