Fleming Initiative Clinical Research Fellow in Antimicrobial Clinical TrialsJob Type: Full-Time.Starting Salary: 73992 plus benefitsTo find out more about the job please click the apply for job button to be taken to Imperial job siteAbout the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to join the Fleming Initiative at Imperial College London, working within the GSK-Fleming Grand Challenge 4 programme on antimicrobial resistance.Based within the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU), you will support delivery of a proof-of-concept randomised clinical trial in antimicrobial prescribing, contributing to patient-facing research, data analysis and dissemination.This role is ideal for a clinician in training in infectious diseases or medical microbiology, offering opportunities to develop skills in clinical trials, epidemiology and research within a multidisciplinary, globally focused programme.What you would be doing You will support the delivery of a randomised clinical trial in antimicrobial prescribing, working closely with the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit.You will contribute to patient recruitment, assessment and follow-up within clinical research studies.You will assist with data collection, management and statistical analysis.You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the Fleming Initiative.You will contribute to research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.You will support the development of research proposals and future funding applications.What we are looking forMedically qualified (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registrationClinical training in infectious diseases, microbiology or a related disciplineExperience working in hospital clinical settingsKnowledge of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and clinical research methodsEvidence of research experience, including publications and/or presentationsStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamWhat we can offer youOpportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research addressing antimicrobial resistanceExperience in clinical trials delivery within a leading academic clinical trials unitOpportunities to develop research skills in epidemiology, trial design and data analysisSupport for academic development, including publications and future fellowship applicationsA collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment within the Fleming InitiativeThe opportunity to work at a world-leading institution and contribute to research with global impactFurther informationThis is a full-time (35 h/w), fixed-term post for 12 months starting in September 2026. based at the St Mary's Campus (with work across Hammersmith, Charing Cross and South Kensington Campuses).If you require any further details about the role, please contact: Dr Timothy Rawson
