Role Information
The school is seeking a skilled and proactive Art Technician to support the Art Department in maintaining resources, preparing materials, and assisting with classroom and studio activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and organising materials, tools, and equipment for lessons
* Supporting teachers with demonstrations, resources, and practical tasks
* Maintaining and cleaning brushes, tools, equipment, and storage areas
* Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring budgets
* Setting up and clearing studio spaces for lessons and workshops
* Assisting with kiln firing, ceramics preparation, and glazing materials
* Supporting digital art processes (scanning, photography, printing)
* Helping with art displays, exhibitions, and internal showcases
* Ensuring all equipment and spaces comply with health & safety standards
* Cataloguing and storing student work securely and professionally
* Supporting GCSE & A Level students with materials and technical guidance
