Teaching Personnel is currently seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Basingstoke. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and care plans
* Assist with classroom activities, individual learning tasks, and sensory-based interventions
* Promote a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
Role Details:
* Start Date: September
* Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
* Hourly Pay Rate: £13.75
* Location: Basingstoke
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an SEN or care environment
* A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or current registration with the Update Service)
