About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Horticulture, this Management Accountant role is a key position within the Horticulture Finance team. It’s a hybrid role that combines ownership of monthly financial reporting with ongoing budgeting and forecasting responsibilities across vineyards and kiwifruit orchards. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities across a complex structure. The role requires both independence and strong collaboration with finance and operational teams to deliver accurate and timely insights. * Complete month-end processes and prepare accurate management accounts.
* Deliver financial and operational reports, including variance analysis and consolidations across multiple entities.
* Drive annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and performance monitoring.
* Partnering closely with commercially astute business managers to support operational performance.
* Assist with statutory reporting and external audit processes.
* Monitor and report on fixed assets and capex.
* Drive process improvements and support the use of financial systems and analytical tools.
About You
You are a qualified accounting professional (CA/CPA preferred) with solid experience in management accounting and financial reporting. You bring:
* Experience utilising financial models for financial planning purposes.
* Strong commercial awareness and compliance knowledge.
* Excellent Excel and financial systems skills (ERP or similar).
* Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret financial information clearly.
* Confidence engaging with both finance colleagues and operational stakeholders.
* Enthusiasm in being part of a dynamic and growing business.
Experience working within a complex organisational structure, or using tools such as Power BI would be an advantage, as would experience in the horticulture sector but not essential.
