Family Hub Practitioner

About the role
Achieving for Children’s Family Hubs, part of the Early Intervention and Community Service, offer easily accessible physical and virtual spaces. They provide information, advice, and coordinated support to families, helping them navigate challenges. Each hub's services are tailored to local needs, incorporating feedback from children and families, and are delivered in partnership with various teams. These hubs are crucial for the Early Help agenda, offering guidance on child development, parenting, healthy lifestyles, and safety.

About you
This role involves working with children aged 0-5 and their families, delivering early years activities at Family Hubs and other community sites. You'll also assist with after-school and holiday programs for primary-aged children.
A key part of the job is to plan and deliver high-quality sessions that support children's learning and development, guided by the Lead Coordinator or Early Help Team Leader. You'll also educate parents on child development and the value of play, fostering a positive home learning environment.
Additionally, you'll identify and support children with additional needs early on, build relationships with schools to understand local needs, and help increase hub registrations. The role also includes facilitating parenting and training programs and assisting the Lead Coordinator in monitoring and evaluating the impact of services.
