About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. About the Role

We are seeking a Hearing Screener to join our team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity and Princess Royal Maternity in Glasgow. The role involves conducting newborn hearing screening tests at maternity hospitals and outreach clinics. Full training will be provided. The position is 37 hours per week, rostered over 7 days, with hours between 8 am and 6 pm, including two weekends every four weeks. Exact shift patterns will be discussed with the successful applicant.


Responsibilities

1. Perform hearing screening tests on newborns.
2. Travel to different locations as required for outreach clinics.
3. Maintain accurate records and ensure quality standards are met.


Qualifications and Skills

No formal qualifications are required. Essential skills include experience handling small babies, working face-to-face with people in a healthcare environment, and good computer skills. Candidates lacking these skills will not be considered.
