About the Job
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse:
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, as well as within a person and family centered care model, this position practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN)- Certified Practice- OUD functions as a member of the larger interdisciplinary care team to ensure that persons with opioid use disorder have access to timely, responsive, evidence based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services. Working in the assigned clinical area, the RN/RPN provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment (including ordering and prescribing opioid agonist therapy), referral to community support(s), and as required, escalation of care to both primary care practitioner and addiction medicine practitioners.
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.78).
Shifts of work will be scheduled days rotating from 08:30 to 16:03 hours.
