We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager (Field Sales) who will be aligned to one of our North London or East London Depots. The successful candidate’s main objective will be to win new business across multiple sectors in the SME marketplace in line with monthly targets. The role offers an uncapped bonus (£12K OTE) and a company car.
Your core responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities with prospective clients by targeting SME businesses across all market sectors within your territory.
* Build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to meet monthly and annual sales targets and ensure KPIs are achieved and exceeded.
* Take ownership of the full sales cycle from lead generation, site visits, pricing, negotiation, to closing deals.
* Liaise with your local Depot, RSM, RBDM, Customer Services, and other internal departments to ensure smooth and professional interactions between Biffa and the customer.
* Participate in regional sales campaigns and strategies aligned with the overall regional business plan.
* Ensure all leads, activities, and contracts are recorded on the Biffa operating system.
* Build and maintain a thorough understanding of our range of services and solutions by working closely with our training team, Depot staff, management, and peers.
Candidate requirements
* Proven track record of delivering new business sales and maintaining a sales pipeline.
* Ability to identify, nurture, and develop new business opportunities.
* Understanding of sales methods and KPIs, and how to leverage them for success.
* Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of the Waste Industry and Waste Management is desirable but not essential.
