Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. Your primary focus will be on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be required to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall well-being.
* Help implement care plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
* Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and preferences.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
* Administer medication.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is beneficial.
* A strong ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their families is crucial.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is required.
