Your new role
You will lead on Supplier Delivery Management activities to ensure production has theponents and materials available to meet the build plan. You will engage with suppliers to confirm order status, collaborating with them to ensure they understand what constitutes "On Time In Full" for each order, and sense check their plan to meet the requirement. You will update delivery schedules to keep all parties informed of status, and will escalate supplier performance issues if needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar role, and may havee through Materials Planning / Materials Control, or Buyer / Expeditor roles. You will understand MRP and BOMs, ideally in a high-value manufacturing environment, although any manufacturing background can be considered. You will be able to handleplexity and large data sets, and befortablemunicating internally and externally over phone / email / in person. You will enjoy keeping on top of a fast-moving order book, working closely with suppliers and supporting your colleagues in production by driving the best possible material availability and supplier performance. You will be organised and able to juggle multiple requirements, prioritising effectively and recognising risk. Experience of formal supplier performance management is a definite advantage. Strong Excel and MRP skills are required, as well as Load and Capacity Planning, and the ability to present your findings internally and externally as part of the planning cycle.
Please note - driving licence is required as there will be some travel between manufacturing sites and suppliers.
